Upcoming Event!

Join us for a Neighborhood Jamboree on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
The Center for Musical Arts (CMA) of Lafayette will have lots of musical adventures onsite!

Do you want to learn a new instrument, explore your singing voice, or improve your musical skills while having a lot of fun?

The Center for Musical Arts, a community music school in Lafayette, is opening a CMA East opportunity at Rejoice Lutheran Church 3413 Lowell Lane in Erie. Several of CMAs talented instructors will be offering private and group lessons at Rejoice beginning the second week in
September.

  • FAYE NEPON takes students of all ages and abilities and coaches them to bring out their inner diva. Faye has performed nationally and internationally. She will offer private vocal lessons/coaching, and vocal classes for young and old. Her group classes in Lafayette focus on jazz vocals and musical theater and will offer similar 6 week sessions at Rejoice.
  • RICK PRUITT is offering individual lessons on guitar/ukulele/bass. He would also teach “porch style“ group ukulele classes. Rick performs frequently in the area with The Gatos Band.
  • BRIAN HICKMAN will teach private piano lessons. He helps students learn how to learn, and explore music as part of a greater self-awareness and connection.
  • DEBORAH SCHMIT-LOBIS is an amazing pianist, composer, and accordion player. She is also a gifted instructor, utilizing each student’s unique learning style. Deborah will teach private and
group piano lessons including jazz and music theory. Music classes for younger children will be coming soon! If you are interested in other instruments or exploring music in other ways let us know.

Call the Center for Musical Arts today to enroll in this exciting opportunity. Contact the CMA at centerformusicalarts.org or call
303-665-0599. The CMA offers financial assistance based on
need through the Heartstrings program.

Other Happenings

Rejoice is now part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America’s (ELCA) Anchor Church program – confirmed at our January 30, 2022 Annual All Church meeting. Our mentoring church is Abiding Hope of Littleton, CO, and a bi-church Revitalization Team is in place. We are excited and ready!
In this revitalization period, Rejoice is between pastors. In the interim, several Rocky Mountain Synod pastors are ministering to us. Their wisdom, variety of perspective, and love are blessing us hugely!
